Conservatives Will Win – A Populus Poll Suggests

populusThe Times has a snippet from their soon to be published Populus poll indicating that the majority of the public now believes that the Conservatives will win the next General Election. 55% of those polled believe that the party will have an overall majority.

Only 19% expect a hung Parliament with no party having an overall majority. A mere 25% think that Labour will be the largest party, which includes 7% who think that they will be the largest party in a hung Parliament.

These results are hardly surprising in the light of recent events and other recent opinion polls but they help to cement the expectation of the inevitability of a Conservative victory in voters’ minds.

I would expect the full voting intentions to be revealed tomorrow (Sat) evening.
