New ICM Poll – Tories and Labour Up at Lib Dem Expense

The first post-election ICM poll in today’s Sunday Telegraph confirms the ComRes poll which shows the Lib Dems losing support to Labour:

            Conservative              38% (up 2%)

                                                  Labour                       33% (up 5%)

                                                  Lib Dem                      21% (down 5%)

As with ComRes I have shown changes from the final election ICM poll.

New ComRes Poll – Labour Gain at Lib Dem Expense

The first post-election ComRes poll has been published in today’s Independent on Sunday and shows the Lib Dems leaching support to Labour (compared to the last ComRes poll):

               Conservative            38% (up 1%)

                                        Labour                      34% (up 6%)

                                        Lib Dem                    21% (down 7%)

Some .organisations have given the change compared to the General Election result but this is misleading in my view. The only valid comparison is with the previous ComRes poll.
