New Ipsos MORI Poll – Labour Take a 6% Lead
There is a new Ipsos MORI/Reuters poll reported today showing Labour taking the lead once again:
Conservative 35% (down 3%)
Labour 41% (up 3%)
Lib Dem 12% (no change)
All three main party leaders recorded negative satisfaction ratings, with more voters saying they were unhappy with the job they were doing than satisfied.
Mr Cameron’s personal rating was down 10 points since last month on minus 11, with 40% saying they were pleased with the job he was doing as PM, compared with 51% who were not. Liberal Democrat Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg scored minus 32 and Mr Miliband minus 25.
For the first time since he became leader in 2010, the monthly Political Monitor found more Labour supporters dissatisfied (48%) than satisfied (44%) with Mr Miliband’s performance.
Satisfaction in the Government’s performance was down 21 points since last month to minus 34.
MORI tends to show more dramatic fluctuations than other pollsters but the findings that Miliband is losing the confidence of Labour voters could be significant for the chances of his survival.

Now will this lead sustain and be repeated at least as a trend if not by the same percentage in other Polls or is thiis yet another flash in the pan and part of the WW1 style trench warfare Polls we have seen for the last few months?
Only time will tell! I suspect this is an outlier.
Far more important than Miliband’s popularity is the Tories languishing back on 35% and the short-lived boost provided by the risible European veto is a distant memory.
Now will this Labour lead crystalise or is it a flash in the pan? I await the next tranche of Polls with interest.
The same in the Angus Reid Poll and now You Gov today. 11 March 2012. All show a clear and sustaining Labour lead of about 5% and with them having a total numptie like Ed Miliband as leader! Batten down the hatches for a rough tiime on May 3rd for Tory Candidates.
