New YouGov Poll – Labour Lead Increases to 11%
There is a new YouGov poll in today’s Sunday Times newspaper showing a slight increase in Labour’s lead:
Conservative 32% (no change)
Labour 43% (up 2%)
Lib Dem 12% (up 1%)
UKIP 9% (no change)
This poll is quite different from the ComRes poll published yesterday. YouGov are showing much higher Labour and Lib Dem vote shares and lower UKIP. YouGov has a better track record than the more recent ComRes and I would therefore give more credence to YouGov at this stage.
Changes shown are compared to the last YouGov poll I reported on 10 February.

I’m not a fan of You Gov but that result is a lot closer to what expected between Labour and Conservative at this time. I am still convinced that however they weight their response the Lib Dems are overstated and UKIP understated but the Eastleigh by-election and any Locals should be of interest. I don’t expect UKIP to win in Eastleigh but am watching the effect of their intervention especially on the Tory Vote.
