New ICM Poll – Tory Lead Cut to 9%

There is a new ICM poll reported in today’s Sunday Telegraph which shows a slight decrease in the Conservative lead to 9%.  Labour has reversed its previous 1% fall:

            Conservative              39% (down 1%)

                                                  Labour                       30% (up 1%)

                                                  Lib Dem                      20% (down 1%)

All the major polls are now pretty consistent and still within 2% of the 40/30/18 that has been the position for some time. However, it is now looking like the central position is more like 38/30/18. More polls are expected in the next couple of days and it will be interesting to see if they confirm ICM’s poll or show the Conservatives back over 40% again and with a double digit lead.
