New YouGov Poll – Tories at 41% with a 10% Lead

There is a new YouGov poll in tomorrow’s Sun which shows the Conservative lead stable at 10%:

            Conservative              41% (up 2%)

            Labour                       31% (up 2%)

                                          Lib Dem                     18% (down 2%)

This is worthy of note as it is the final daily poll before Gordon Brown is expected to go to the Palace tomorrow to request a General Election to be held on 6th May, the same date as the local elections. Conservatives will be thrilled to be entering the campaign at 41% and with a 10% lead from a pollster that had them just 2-4% ahead a short time ago.

  1. Nice to see you are now giving the daily Yougov Sun poll figures . Can’t of course be anything to do with them now showing better Conservative figures .

  2. What a sour puss you are Mr Senior. You only comment on other people’s blog to snipe and moan. Why dont you do something useful?

Richard said before that although he doesn’t rate daily polls he would occasionally comment on them if they are significant. I would have thought that the night before the election is announced it would be worth noting all the polls.
