New YouGov Poll in Wales – Labour Surge at Lib Dem Expense

There is a new poll from YouGov of Welsh Westminster voting intentions reported on Anthony Wells’s UK Polling Report, which shows Labour doing well in Wales, with the Conservatives in a strong second place:

            Labour                       46% (up 11% – up 10% since GE)

                                          Conservative              29% (down 3% – up 3% since GE)

Lib Dem                       8% (down 5% – down 12% since GE)

Plaid Cymru                11% (down 2% – no change since GE)

This is the first Wales YouGov poll I have seen since January this year. The first change shown is against that January poll and the second change is since May’s General Election. Of course voters may (and probably will) perform somewhat differently in the Welsh Assembly elections next May.
