New YouGov Poll – Labour Lead Cut to 4%

There is a new YouGov poll published in today’s Sunday Times newspaper showing Labour’s lead over the Conservatives being cut to 4%:

                Conservative 36% (no change)

                Labour 40% (down 2%)

                                                 Lib Dem 11% (up 1%)

The Government’s approval rating has improved to -23% (31% approve and 54% disapprove). This poll is very much in accord with last night’s ComRes poll.

Changes shown are compared to the last daily YouGov poll I reported on 16 August.

  1. Re: Your tweet about Government lead over Labour rises to 7%

It’s good spin, but I really can’t get behind adding Lib Dems and Conservative scores together for a total ‘government’ score. It sticks in my craw, as it were. They aren’t us and we aren’t them.

    • Steve – I think you have confused me with someone else!!! I haven’t tweeted about a “Government lead over Labour”! 🙂
