New ICM Poll – Labour Takes a 1% Lead

There is a new ICM poll in the Guardian tomorrow showing Labour taking a 1% lead over the Conservatives reversing a 5% deficit:

         Conservative              36% (down 4%)

                                                    Labour                        37% (up 2%)

                                                    Lib Dem                      14% (down 2%)

This poll is broadly in line with other recent polls which show the two main parties neck and neck. I would sound a note of caution though in that 4% net seems to have transferred to “others” with Labour making only a small advance. We will have to see if other polls bear this out.
