New YouGov Poll – Labour’s Lead Cut to 4%

There is a new YouGov poll in today’s Sun newspaper showing Labour’s lead cut to 4%:

                   Conservative                35% (up 2%)

                   Labour                          39% (no change)

                                                     Lib Dem                          9% (no change)

                                                     UKIP                             10% (down 2%)

So we have a narrowing again of Labour’s lead which has jumped around a bit this week. The average lead seems to be about 6-7% at the moment which is slightly up from the 3-5% we were seeing a few weeks ago.

The poll above is compared with the last YouGov poll I reported on 27 Oct.

  1. So Ed Miliband and the Labour Party have won the battle of the conferences. As private Frazer of Dad’s Army would say, “you’re doomed, you’re doomed”.

    • David – if “winning” results in a Labour lead of 4% then I am delighted! No opposition can be confident of winning the next election with such a fragile lead. I still feel that we will see the first poll showing a Conservative lead before the end of this year. Roll on 2015!
